I often settle in the biome in between temperate and jungle - the sandy looking one with the palm trees, cannot remember it´s name just now. So in both regions it is good to waste no ammunition shooting at the big rocks.

And the pre-desert zone with the yellow and red stone valleys where Viking Nobles crater is in fact does have a lot of big bulky rocks, but they contain no ores and are more like a a kind of weak sandstone. I think it dos not rain much there, and I do not know about mining since I always crossed it quickly. When driving from temperate normal to equator I remember: More rain in the usually ragged landscape with the red plants (temperate tundra I think) - iron mining, then that sandy palm biome with less rain (sometimes the tundra in between is missing) - silver mining, a lot of rain in the tropical jungle - silver mining, then light red rocky terrain (usually hills or steep slopes) with uranium and often a lot of rain, then a terrain with mixed yellow and red stony ground (often valleys with ridges like the crater of Viking Noble) and rarely animals and plants or surface rocks and rarely rain while the mountains between these valleys are high and sandy with those plants that usually have fruits or herbs but here mostly are without and there are also those dry looking brushy plants, lesser rain - uranium mining, then sandy desert - hot with rainy periods, uranium mining, then the desert with the wavelike surface - very hot, rarely rain, xenith and finally the equatorial lave fields which might miss in some areas of the planet.ĭriving to the poles there are often long mountain ranges with whitish tundra caps - moderate rain, silver mining, between the mountains flat valleys with a lot of surface water and temperate flora, often rainy, iron mining, or further north valleys that look like glacier valleys with a lot of different ore rocks lying around, more rainy and stormy, or valleys with a swampy look and high trees and also ore rocks and much rain, both silver mining, the land is constantly rising until the grey-white tundra starts with only few grasses and low to medium snow fall - uranium mining, then there comes a white zone with cold temperatures with frequent snow storms and xenith and to the poles there is only ice, no plants, nearly no surface rock ores, very cold temperature and frequently very aggressive cold snow storms.ĮDIT: Forgot at least one: in the temperate zone there is also a usually flat region with a lot of bushes (giving only few biomasse) and big rocks containing (nearly) no ores, few to no animals, looking rather desolate, difficult to drive because of the rocks and bushes. If you do take me there too Caleon: I experienced rain in the desert, but it seems to occur not so frequent.
